Speaking of Pere Ubu. Oh we weren't speaking of Pere Ubu? Well, we are now. *ahem* SPEAKING OF PERE UBU, they were a band whose early recordings garnered them lots of critical success, but dwindled on their later recordings. Now I don't profess to be in love with 1995's 'Raygun Suitcase', but I do love the song "Beach Boys", the third track from said record.

I'll admit it doesn't sound much like the records that defined Pere Ubu in the early days like 'The Modern Dance' and 'Dub Housing', but it's simply a great pop song, and there can't be anything wrong with that. In case you're not familiar with the band, I'll put up an Ubu classic, "The Modern Dance", so yr not in the dark as to what i'm talking about. Contrast and compare!
