I'll admit it. This week i'm doing write ups of stuff that's been on my Pop Zeus! list for quite some time now, but just keeps getting pushed back by the old stuff. Sugar's "Gee Angel" has been on that list from day one, but somehow never got on here. Well now it's time to bask in Bob Mould's post-Husker Du glory.

1994's 'File Under Easy Listening' was never an all time favorite of mine, but it did contain the track "Gee Angel", a song as powerful as anything Husker Du ever recorded. Why does the guitar on this song sound LOUDER than anything i've ever heard? I guess if i had a degree in recording engineering I would know. But i don't, so now i do.
