The Obsevers (not to be confused with a Portland punk outfit of the same name) were the house band for Kingston reggae producer Niney the Observer in the 1970s. A lot of his best work can be found on the great Blood & Fire compilation Niney And Friends: Hit Sounds From The Observer Station.

But this isn't about Niney, it's about the Observers! This dub track from Trojan's Dub Box Set (god I love them Trojan box sets) has been an all time high on my playlist. Dub music may sound all the same to some people, but this one always stands out from the rest for me.
