I have a soft spot in my heart for Jeff Lynne and his Electric Light Orchestra. Maybe it's because as a young boy I was used to hearing "Can't Get It Out Of My Head" ad nauseum coming out of the basement where my older brother dwelled.

Maybe it's because the song "Livin Thing" (which correct me if i'm wrong, but sounds like an anti abortion song; i'm not judging, i'm just saying) plays over the credits after we see Dirk Diggler's big fake plastic schwantz in the marvelous film "Boogie Nights".

But it's most probably because "Telephone Line" is the song playing in "Billy Madison" as Steve Buscemi gets off the phone with Billy, marks him off his "People To Kill" list and begins to apply red lipstick. Yes, that is DEFINITELY why i like them.
