Bob Seger Is Rolling In His Grave
The Black Keys "Yearnin'"

The Black Keys may sound like an old black blues singer you'd find in a nightclub, or perhaps like a 70s blues breakers style super group. They're actualy just two skinny little white guys from Youngstown, Ohio who sound much bigger than they are.
The first time I saw these guys perform live, I couldn't believe what I was hearing. It was as if this sound shouldn't have been coming out these bespectacled, bearded young men in ironic t-shirts. They may look like the rest of their scene but they certainly don't sound like them. The Black Keys play hard driving blues rock that's destined to be at the top of the charts in 1975.

hi kevin
i love the black keys. to me thye sound a lot like an old 60s 70s band called free. they were a rock band just like the black keys. then they morphed into a sometimes cool but often cheesy pop rock band called bad company. check out free sometime when yr on a retro kick.
also - do you remember my friend brenda? well - one of those guys is her nephew (she's from kent, also). the drummer, he's her nephew.
great band.
oh - and i'm pretty sure bob seger is alive.
he's dead to me.
